Parents & Students:
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation so far… August
18th will be here before you know it. I am getting more and more ready for school a
little bit each day. Therefore, most of
you who know me know that I believe in good communication especially with
parents. I say the more the better so
along with Edline, my blog and Power Points I am adding another creative way of
using technology… it is called Remind 101.
If you go to the these websites http://www.remind.com/join/0b3a9 (if you have a child in 7th grade) or http://www.remind.com/join/4f217 (if you have a child in in 8th grade) and
join (it’s free!) you will receive updates via text message on your smart phone from
me about what’s going in the class… sounds good to me. For example if there is
a test the next day I will send you a group text or if I need certain supplies for my class, etc. etc.… it’s perfectly safe and not only can parents do it, but students
as well. I can send group texts to individual grades 8th and/or 7th or everyone that joins. I highly recommend that you register. I will remind you again when school starts.
